Welcome

This is a quick round up of what I have and where. Right now you see a company name but no company activity. That's because I thought of a name, so I grabbed it. But ... still busy with my career! So probably no company activity until I retire. But I'm using the name in the meanwhile, because whatever I do after this will have to do with family history in some fashion.

This is on Substack. It's convenient because you can set it up to send email. It's inconvenient for the same reason. You can get buried in email! (See tip below.) There is also an interesting community of genealogy folks on Substack. Lots of good info there.

Tip: You can turn off excess Substack email by utilizing the Substack app or logging in online and looking at your notifications instead. Open your settings, look for "Newsletter Delivery" and choose "Prefer Push” instead of “Prefer Email” (mobile app) or on the web choose “Smart Notifications.”

As I come up with things that I think my family will find interesting. I'll round them up here, because it can get hard to plow through the pages of a blog to try to find things.

What is my "niche"? No idea. It's more of a "share what you are doing" type of channel. After I retire I might develop a stronger focus. If so, that would go on a separate channel. I try to put family specific videos both here and on Facebook. Sometimes get sidetracked.

The experts say I should have a legal disclaimer and link to it from YouTube and blog. So I have one. The short version: I say stuff that I hope is right, but it might be wrong, so go double check for yourself before following my advice.
